Growing up too fast!

My kids are growing up way too fast! Marks Step mom sent us a box of stuff from Marks childhood in it Mark found a book that his mom kept of Mark. It had a paragraph every couple of weeks that had funny stories or accomplishments. It was really fun to read , so I want to try and keep up on my blogging so Scotlyn and Ethan can read about them when they are older. We'll see how it goes!

Scotlyn is so dang cute! I love her more everyday! She is such a wild child, but so sweet and lovable. Whenever you leave the house she says "need kiss need kiss" you can't leave without a hug and a kiss. She knows all the letter sounds. She can spell her name. Every time she spells her name she yells her name after, it is so cute! She can count to 5 and sometimes to 10 if she isn't distracted. She is talking so good, I can understand pretty much all of what she is saying. She has had a hard time saying her f sound and she love goofy, but she calls him goopy. Mark was trying to get her to say the f sound so he was elongating all the sounds and so she copied him and still said p it was so funny because she tried so hard and emphasized the p sound. She LOVES to go to the Library, she knows how to checkout and has to help. When we go shopping she has to help scan the items and helps swipe the card and sign it. Hse is such a big helper. She still refuses to potty train, not that iI am really pushing it. She is so little, poor girl can't get on the toilet by herself or reach the sink. She is terrified to sit on the toilet because one time she tried to get on and fell in, poor kid. Diapers are much easier right now. Scotlyn is such a good big sister, she loves to play with Ethan and loves to see him smile, she rips out his binki and says "smile cute." We love our Scotlyn!

Ethan is not my little baby anymore. I miss my baby, but love my happy boy! He is EVERY WHERE. He has been crawling since 6 months. He never army crawled like Scotlyn, straight up to hands and knees. Loves the stairs! Before we got a gate Mark was watching the kids and went to the bathroom and when he came out Ethan was on stair 10 and Scotlyn was at the top saying "come on buddy, come on." The 2 of them keep us on our toes. Ethan LOVES his baby food. He eats sooo much! He eats food and still nurses as much as he did before he started on food. He loves his Dad! He cries every time Mark leaves for work. He is such a Happy boy and we love him so much!

My Kiddos!

Scotlyn jumped in the tub with Ethan and they had a blast. Look at those roles!

Scotlyn! where to begin? This child can make me laugh and cry all in just a minute. She turned 2 in June and totally acts the part. She is the biggest cheese ball ever! She loves to dance, sing, play the piano and put on a show and when she is done she expects an applause. She refuses to go potty in the toilet, she has done it and knows how, but doesn't want to. She is a huge tease and just so random. There is never a dull moment in our house when Scotlyn is around. She is very independent and has a mind of her own. She won't wear anything she doesn't want to. She loves boots. She used to wear mine all the time, then she saw her friend with a pair and the next time we went to target she saw a pair in her size and we couldn't leave without them. She wears them all the time. Scotlyn wears me out everyday and i can't let her out of my sight, but she is the sweetest little girl and we love her so much. She loves to give hugs and kisses. I love it when she gives hugs and says " my favorite" and she just started telling me I'm pretty. Love our girl!

Ethan is the happiest baby. I love it! He is always laughing. I love it when Scotlyn gets in his face and they just sit and laugh at each other. Ethan is sitting up on his own and almost crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks then falls down. He is Huge! I am used to a little pip squeak, he weighs the same as his 2 year old sister and he is only 7 months. He loves baby food, which is the total opposite from Scotlyn. He is at that clingy stage and if he can't see mommy he freaks out. He says mama, loves his daddy and loves to grab your face. We love our little man so much and so glad he is part of our family!

Happy Mothers Day!

This post is dedicated to my amazing mother. Mom, you are my best friend. You are always there when I need you, and always know when to call. I can't count the times you have dropped your busy life to be there for me. You have been there for me as I struggle with being a mom and I don't know what I would have done without you at the birth of Scotlyn and Ethan. You are an awesome Grandma, Scotlyn loves her Grandma and asks every day about you. We wish we lived closer so we could see you more often. I love you Mom!

What we've been up to

April 17th I ran the Salt Lake City Half Marathon with my sister and some friends. Everyone did great! It was so much fun to have so many people running the race. I was not as prepared as I would like to have been, but I am glad I did it. I love the adreniline rush and just being able to take off and run. I love the course, minus the big hill at mile 11, and the weather is perfect. I ran the full last year and hope to run the full next year.

Easter and Fair

In April there is always the Clark County Fair in Logandale. It has been a long time since I have gone. This year all the girls wanted to get together at the fair. Scotlyn loves animals so I figured I would bring the kids, she had a blast. It was great to see everyone again, it's been too long. Everyone looks great and are doing good. It was fun to catch up.

Easter morning always starts early for me. I was up at 3:45 in order to make it to the Easter Sunrise Program at Palm Mortuary. We have to be there at 5:30 to practice. The Program is a great way to start Easter Morning. It was nice to come home and enjoy General Conference. I always feel like the talks are exactly what I need to hear. After Conference we headed to Mark's Grandpa's house for dinner. We hid eggs in Grandpa greats backyard, Scotlyn loved it. We enjoyed dinner and games with Mark's family.
I am so thankful for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me. I am thankful that my beautiful family can be together forever. I love Mark so much and my 2 sweet little kids. They are the best!

Ethan Daniel Bradley was born at 9:27 am on 2/10/10. He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Ethan's delivery was easier than Scotlyns , I was more prepared and knew what to expect. I was able to have another Natural delivery. I was induced Wednesday morning and thanks to my mom labor went smooth, my mom knew exactly what to say and was an excellent coach. When it came time to push Ethan's heartrate was dropping and the doctor siad that if I didn't get him out fast we would need to have a cesarean., my biggest fear. Thankfully I was able to push him out in time. The cord was wrapped around him twice, he came out blue and needed a little help crying. Thanks to a great doctor and awesome nurses Ethan is home and healthy. I am so thankful for wonderful support from Mark and my Mom. We love our cute little man.

New words

I love the age Scotlyn is at. She is starting to talk and I love when she says a new word. She loves words with P in them. Puppy, Grandpa, Hippo. Marks favorite is when she says "bye, see ya". My new favorite is when she Says " I love you" The video is not the best, but you can hear it good.

Christmas

This year for Christmas we stayed home. It was wierd not haveing tons of family around, but it was good. On Christmas Eve we went to the Strip and Walked around City Center. It was fun to see where Mark worked and all that he did. We had Enchiladas for dinner and then opened our traditional pajamas. Christmas day we opened presents then Caleb came over for breakfast. We then headed over to Marks Grandpa's and Had dinner with Marks Mom and family.

Thanksgiving

Mark got called on a job the week of Thanksgiving so he wasn't able to come to Utah with Scotlyn and I. Scotlyn and I drove up with Caleb to my Parents house. We had a great time. Scotlyn is always spoiled and has everyone wrapped around her finger. My dad was one of them. Thanksgiving Day we had my dads parents, his sister and his brother and their family. We had tons of great food and enjoyed everyones company. We played fox tail and Crista got it stuck in the tree. The trip was great, we just missed Mark.

Marks Birthday!

Mark turned 32 on November 22. Poor guy didn't get much of a Birthday. He had training that day and then that night I had to run off to rehearsal. We did manage to have dinner and cake in between are crazy schedule. Marks not a fan of pictures so I only got one.

Mark is such a great dad and husband and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Mt Charleston

We finally went to Mt. Charleston, we have been talking about it for a long time. We did some dutch oven cooking, so yummy. I love being in the mountains and eating good grub. Scotlyn loved it, she loves being outside and of course she had to walk the whole time. I think Scotlyn looks so cute in her hoodie and jeans.

Mark and Scotlyn

I am going to brag about my amazing husband and sweet little girl. Don't tell Mark he hates it when I talk about him. Yesterday Mark and I had an appointment close to where I had a doctor appointment, so we all went together. After our 1st appointment we went to lunch an then to the park before my appointment. The park was did not start out very successful. Scotlyn was trying to climb up the slide and she slipped and cut her lip. I have never seen so much blood come form a lip. After we cleaned her up she was ready to go again. Not even a minute later she fell again and hit her lip again, but that didn't phase her she wanted to keep on playing. While we were at the park Jehovah witness missionaries came over and started talking to us. I was so glad that Mark was there because I am not a scriptorian who can sit there and name of scriptures. Mark was awesome they would tell him a scripture and ask him a question and Mark would come back with a better scripture and ask them questions. It was a good disscussion and at the end Mark says " I have read the Bible and have prayed about it like you have, and I have also read the book of Mormon and prayed about it, have you ?' I was cracking up because they came over expecting to challenge us to read and pray about the Bible and Mark ends up challenging them to read and pray about the BOM. Mark is such an amazing husbund and Father. He is strong in the church and he has been so supportive with me finishing school. The house is always picked up and the dishes done when I get home, he has been great!

Now a little bragging about Scotlyn. She is a clumsy kid, but she is so smart and Mark and I love watching her learn and grow. She does sign language for milk, sleep, eat, more, baby and kind of does mommy and daddy. I love it when she does milk insted of chucking the bottle at me or screaming till I figure out what she wants. She is miss little independant now that she is walking. She had to walk around Costco instead of riding inthe cart and she wouldn't hold my hand. It is so funny to see her walking around because she is so little. She love's to wear her soft sole shoes and no clothes, she is a crack up. We love our little Scotty.

This is her fat lip.

The Latest

This is attempt number 2 to write this blog. My last one Scotlyn managed to delete. Mom this is why it has been so long. She is our Dennis the Menace. She can destroy a clean house in less than a minute. She pulls out every bow I put in her hair. She will do something she is not supposed to and look at you and smile, then take off running when you go to stop her. The whole time I was writing the first post she was biting me and laughing. For some reason she thinks it is funny to bite mom and only mom no matter what I do. She is now in her crib crying. She is a feisty little girl. She has so much personality for such a tiny girl. She is a handful, but she is a keeper. We love her so much! We are constantly laughing at her.

Things she loves: Reading books, she loves to bring them to you. Saying hi, this is my favorite and hers. Walking, finally gave up crawling. Going up and down the stairs. Dancing, and she is good! Bananas, she loves her bananas. Swimming, she is a fish, sad summer is over. She is fearless, she is our dare devil. Loves her Baby Einstein videos. Loves to play with the camera. I can't take pictures without her reaching for it. Love her finger puppets. I know I am forgetting stuff, but I need to go get Scotlyn out of her time out. Here are some pictures. We don't let her stand on the table, but it had been 3 days of fever and crying and she was happy.

Utah Trip!

Friday July 10th we headed up to Riverton Utah where my family lives. Scotlyn was great the car ride up.

When we got there Scotlyn showed off her dancing moves. It was just as funny watching everyone else dancing. Crista got a great video of Scotlyn dancing. I will have to post it later.
Saturday morning we got up and headed to Marks Family in Holladay. We ate at a yummy neighborhood breakfast. Sara took Scotlyn out back to the play set, Scotlyn loved the slide. Of course we had to have a Mario cart tournament, a Bradley family Tradition. That evening we had a Neighborhood BBQ. It was so good to visit with the Bradleys.

Sunday was a busy day. We headed down to Orem for Mark's Aunt Tammy and uncle Matt's Homecoming at 9:00. Matt was missionary President in Paraguay. Afterwards we went to Matt and Katies, it was good to visit with all the cousins. Meanwhile my Parents went to my brother Lance's Mission Presidents homeecoming at 11:00 in Pleasant Grove. After that they got us and we headed to Wyoming for my cousin Chad's Homecoming. Luckily they do Sacrament last so we were able to barely make it. Sunday was long , but good.
Monday we went to a Lake in Daybreak where my grandparents live and went Kayaking. Lots of fun. Scotlyn loved playing in the sand. Afterwards we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house for a BBQ and homemade icecream, mmmm. And of course games, we played mexican train.

Tuesday we went to the open house for the Oquirrh Temple. It was very beautiful. I loved all the paintings. It was such a great experience. I love Temples!
Wednesday we ran errands. We went to Young living for some good oils. After Young Living we went shopping for Lance, he was overdue for a package. It is amazing what you can shove into those envelopes. We are so proud of Lance. He is such a great Missionary. He is serving in the Mexico City Mission and has had all native companions.
Thursday we went to IKEA. I love that store. Then we were on a mission to find Lynzie a tennis racket. We looked at DI and a pawn shop. We were successful! We found a nice one at the pawn shop for 15 bucks and we found a really old wooden one at DI for 3 bucks. After our mission was completed we headed to my grandparents for a grueling game of Dominoes. Grandpa bought a 15 dot game. It was a 5 1/2 hour game. We didn't finish till 1: 30 in the morning.
Friday my dad put a swing up he got at DI in the front room. Scotlyn loved it she got mad when you tried to take her out. I didn't get a very good picture. She looks scared!

Friday we headed to Santaquin where Mark's sister and mom live. We had another BBQ and played canasta.

We got home Saturday night. It was a great trip! It is great to be home!
I can't forget about Baby Coopers Baby Blessing in Cedar on Sunday. It was great to go up with my brother and seee cousins we haven't seen in a while. Sorry for the long post.

Scotlyn had her 1st Birthday on June 7th . We had a family party at the park on Saturday. We had Strawberry Shortcake, I was hoping that she would dive into the whipcream, but she never did. We love our little girl so much! Scotlyn loves dancing, she's got more rhythm than her mom, she gives high fives, she loves Baby Einstien, she is not quite walking yet, but she will before we know it. Happy Birthday Scotlyn, we love you!

We had a silly string fight and a water balloon fight. There is always a fight when my family is involved. Scotlyn doesn't like it when she thinks someone is getting hurt.

I love this picture! Crista just got a new hair cut and she looks like she is trying to be all sexy and let it blow in the wind. It was windy.

Memorial Day Fun!

I love Memorial Day, I love Desert Chorale's annual Memorial Day concert, I love the long weekend with Mark home and I love when family comes to visit. Memorial day gets me in the mood for Summer. This Memorial Day started Friday making cinnamon rolls for company that was coming, actually that was just an excuse for me to make them, Liz and I have been wanting to make them since last enrichment when they taught us how. Not to brag, but Liz and I made some dang good cinnamon rolls. Then that night we had our Chorale concert. I love singing Patriotic songs. My sisters Crista, Larissa and a friend Lindsey came to town and we had an awesome girls weekend. I love hanging out with my sisters. Saturday we shopped and just hung out. Mark was handy man for a day and fixed the garbage disposal and a leaky faucet, he is such a good husband! Sunday Mark's Mom, Tim and Becca came to church and had lunch with us. We get a lot more visitors since Scotlyn arrived. Of course, it wouldn't be Memorial Day without some swimming.
